Does Essex require lifetime pet insurance?
Essex does not require proof of pet insurance policies. We encourage you to contact your current insurance company to inquire about available pet insurance plans to easily bundle your policies.
What documentation is needed for my ESA (emotional support animal)?
Emotional Support Animals or Accommodation Animals, including assistive or companion animals, are welcome at all Essex apartment communities, regardless of the property’s current pet policy. Fees may be waived with documentation. Please inquire with your community for more information.
How much is a pet deposit, and what does it cover?
The pet deposit for most of our communities can range up to $500, but this may vary at each individual property. Your pet deposit covers any potential damage in your home caused by your pet, which will be determined at the time of move out. There may be an additional deposit required for a second pet. Do I have to pay a monthly fee for my pet?
Yes. Monthly pet fees can range from $45 to $65 per pet and vary by individual community. Please contact your on-site management team for more information and pricing.
